Bartender? Waiter? Perhaps an asshole? Let me just say that this guy is not worth how cheap this place is. Please, do yourself a favor and go to June a block away, or even go to Fairweather Bushwick 2 blocks away for an EVEN cheaper happy hour -- they offer a buy one, get one (2 hipster IPA for $5) -- only a block away. P.S. Bartender/Waiter on Friday, September 18, 2015 is not pleasant or professional to say the least.

I love this place - bartenders are friendly and the music is just at the volume that you can hang out! There is a photo booth and a pinball game! It has the feeling of a dive place, yet it is more classy, just the way I prefer it to be!! I often go here just to have a beer with a friend either to start the night or to cap it off!! It doesn't really serve any food, except from hotdogs and pretzels, but really, if you are gonna have a meal, find something more healthy than bar food! Sometimes their beer selection is a little thin, for someone like me, who doesn't like IPA's.

    Excellent jukebox! Mediocre pretzels...

I really dig this bar. It's feet from my apartment, so that's a plus. But it's got cheap beer, cool bartenders, you can always meet some cool people there, and it's never too crowded. Reminds me of Cheers.

Great buds and suds!! You'll always end up talking to someone interesting here.

This bar is great. The bartenders are great people and don't get me started about the playboy pin ball machine. The sounds, the lights, THE ACTION! Plus it was one of the first bars on my side of town :)

I love Stanley's. I come here on the weekends for a Bloody Mary which usually turns into a couple mug shots or "Stanley's cup" (my weakness... Root beer and vanilla vodka...). The reason I find myself staying is always because of the staff and nostalgic environment which reminds me of a scene from the goonies. Super comfy and I'm glad I don't have to venture far from the L train. Also- they just opened up the backyard and it's perfect for hangin' with a bunch of friends! Top notch hang spot.y

Beautiful bar about a 5 min walk from the Myrtle-Wycoff stop on the L train. Not sure if it quite qualifies as a dive but I suppose it is close. The bar itself is a beautiful refinished wood monstrosity and they have delicious sic point on tap. Worth the trip on the L and sit close to the border of Brooklyn and Queens.

So, this place is my local & I like to think that I know pubs [I'm Irish]. Firstly, the place is warmly decorated with string lights, memorabilia & old-time Americana. There's a pin-ball machine, a photo booth, sports screens, a juke box & a hunting arcade game. The beer is great, the food (hot dogs and so on) is good & the staff are a real cool bunch. Old Stanley's is cosy, friendly & familiar... like an old friend.

Ok. Ridgewood is getting hip and trendy and bla bla whatever. The new bars in the area are great. But Old Stanley's is the best. Great backyard, great inside, lovely staff, I cannot give it enough praise. I'm looking forward to more of my friends not being able to afford Williamsburg so they move to Ridgewood and I have an excuse to go to this fantastic establishment. Well done, Old Stanley's. Well done.

Came back in November. I brought a coke. And paid 50% tip. The guy told me to leave immediately after I finished my coke. I understand if it is busy but the place is empty. The guy had a stick up his butt and complained that to me that there are not many people. I am sorry if people don't like the bar if you treat people like dirt. During world cup -- Nice place. Feels like an irish bar. Cheap. 3 dollar beers. The world cup is in Spanish not English though you would expect Spanish versions to be better.

This is a great place. There is no if, ands, or butts about it. The people, the staff...amazing! I can't get enough. Never in my life could I have figured that there was a place that I could take my parents and my OKcupid dates in a single evening and get everything I wanted out of both!

  • Tanya D.

My friend aptly described this place as looking like 'TGI Fridays if it went to hell'. It's okay I guess, although last time I went we got a booth that a bunch of super young people who acted like it was their first time going out drinking (seriously, I think they left because someone had to puke) had abandoned. Beer was spilled everywhere and about half an hour later one of the drunk mutants returned to slurredly ask if she left her coat on the seat (she had.) But maybe that type of patron is just an anomaly? Or whatever, if that's what you're into, you'll love this place!

Beer and shot special with ANY draft?! Need I say more? I think I'm in love... Attentive chill bar staff. If you're a Bushwick resident this place better be in your regular rotation.

My favorite bar in Bushwick by far. A cozy atmosphere with amazing staff and great beer selection! Their Stanley's Cup is spot on and they have an amazing beer/shot special. Totally recommend!

This place is great! Awesome new bar that feels like it has been in the neighborhood for ages. Great layout, comfortable atmosphere, and even some bar food! Nice to see a new space pop up that anyone can feel welcome in!

Spacious, no-nonsense and comfortable, Old Stanley's is a welcome addition to our area of Bushwick. The photo booth offers the old-time four images on real photo paper, an increasingly rare feature in our modern digital age. There are TVs for sports-watching, but they thankfully don't overwhelm the space. A great balance in that respect. I only wish the happy hour specials were better!

This is the most just-a-bar bar in Bushwick. That's rare. There is no small plates menu or anything like that, but there's peanuts for free and hot dogs for two dollars. Brian, one of the owners, frequently bartends. He does it well-- I only came in a couple times before and sat quietly reading, but he remembered what I was drinking the last time. Beers on tap range from $3 Busch to various fancier IPAs and Guinness. But if you want to get a beer and a shot, it's a six dollar flat rate to get well whiskey and a frosted mug of any draught beer. It's closer to my house than any other bar, and absolutely devoid of bullshit. They've got booths, a dartboard, a pinball machine that I intend to try out when I remember to bring quarters, and a very welcoming atmosphere. Unlike many of the new Bushwick bars which are populated almost exclusively by white transplants to the neighborhood, I've been in here and seen-- gasp-- people who were visibly Not Hipsters. Fantastic. edit for full disclosure: i am a white hipster piece of crap with big glasses

Extremely excited this place opened up! It's hugely spacious with a soon-to-open back patio. Friendly service + good beer selection + moderate prices. The decor is straight from my favorite dive bar in the midwest: colored christmas lights, old prints on the walls, beer advertisements, oak. Perfection. It's really great for groups, and would also be a good place to meet up with a friend or a casual date. It can get pretty noisy though, even on a Tuesday.

Nice to find myself at this bar in Bushwick. I walked a few miles on a cold night to arrive here ( the L train is a few blocks away however). I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. The layout is nice. Even though it was a pretty busy Sat night there was plenty of space. Each nook it well thought out so I never felt crowded. Great atmosphere and they serve food late which is a big plus for me. I def recommend it

the space is really nice, but i'm at a loss as to what is trying to happen here. Cash Only. No happy hour - which is bizarre for a bar this size. They DO have a cold mug draft + rail shot for $6 , but the mugs are those 'trick' mugs that are reallly, really thick. so you're not really getting that much beer and the size of the glass is an optical illusion. Losers. though they play sports on the TV, the music is on the punk rock side. The bartenders from what I'v seen are all (moderately attractive) males, so the clientele is typically fawning women or fan boys of sports...but no punk people. Add that to the decor of old tv sitcoms and 80s action stars... It's just a weird place to be in. who is the bar trying to be??? And its cash only. with no happy hour. whomp.

Yo even though some naughty fool in the corner has been making fart sounds with his hands and mouth for over an hour now.... This place the sheeeeeeee! Slick papa jams, lots of Christmas lights to make me feel like I'm back in my bedroom takin a lil sexy snooze. WEINERS FOR 2 DOLLA BILLS! Yo I licked up so many of them shits, they came out the other end still in the tube casing! Bartender had to pop more weiners in that lil weiner jacuzzi they got a'churning back there because I tapped that piece like it was its freshman year! Didn't even get locked in the bathroom at all. Bar just opened so them locks are still nice and smoove.

Walked passed Old Stanley's the other day. Had to do a double take. Went back last night to make sure I wasn't just seein' stuff. An overdue addition to a neighborhood that has been thirsty for years. Old Stanley's promises to be more than some tolerable dive. Beautifully laid out with a crescent-shaped bar (with hooks for bags and coats), Playboy pinball machine, Big Buck Hunter, quality juke box, free peanuts, HOT DOGS, and seats everywhere. Plus, they have a television (so if you show up by yourself without a book you'll have an acceptable place to rest your creepy eyeballs) and a backyard for summertime. Among the weird, nostalgic adornments is a painting of Jack Tripper with a dog treat in his mouth and a puppy in his arms. I think that effectively summarizes the decor. Exciting times at Myrtle Wyckoff... even more exciting than the time they opened the CVS across the street from the Duane Reade.

you will be welcomed and comfy in this great, intelligently designed local watering hole. I can't say enough good things about this place. Together or alone I'm always happy. And it's by the gym so that helps. The one guy that works @ vitus is absurdly cute once you get him talking. So it's a full win-win-win. Jukebox checks out

This place is great! Music is great, friendly bartenders & good price on booze! Probably the best selection of spirits and beer close to Ridgewood. Plus complementary peanuts, and yes you can throw the shells on the floor. Make a mess, have fun with your friends and play Playboy pinball! I undoubtedly will be back.

Found out a new place opened in our neighborhood so we came here to watch the nba finals. They have one tv, but you can see it from pretty much anywhere at the bar, so it was perfect for us. I hate sports bar type places with a thousand glowing tvs. All the drinks were super affordable and the wells come in pint glasses. They give you free peanuts if you ask and also have some hot dogs, sausages, pretzels, etc. If you live in Bushwick this place is definitely worth checking out. It's well lit without being too bright, and the music(which was awesome) was at the perfect volume. We will be back!

Woah, this bar is awesome! It reminds me of Cheers. Minus Sam which is a huge plus because Sam sucks. I want to be their Norm. If you live past Dekalb and are sick of walking to bars over by Jefferson this is the place to go. Seriously though - this is kind of the only choice you have anyways. Just be happy knowing it's an AWESOME CHOICE!

What a great bar! This is for real the best bar I've ever been to in NYC, maybe anywhere. Exactly the right blend of homey and polished. They sell hot dogs, I wish I got one. Decent beer. Beer and a shot for $6. Pinball machine. Comfortable booths. Best best best music. All 1990's indie rock. I was rocking out. The atmosphere is perfect here.

Great low-key bar/pub. Always playing excellent music (usually old school punk). Crowd is diverse. I'm a fan.

I've been living in this neighborhood for three years and have been waiting for a bar like this to open. I have had multiple people describe this bar to me as a "slice of heaven" in the bushwick/ridgewood area (Myrtle Wykoff / Delalb stop L train) and you can't argue with it. Spacious, affordable and with a good selection of beverages, this bar has everything you ever wanted out of a bar-type-bar: It has a rock jukebox with such a great selection that you can't go wrong, a good quality dartboard, a pinball machine, big buck hunter, an old school arcade table, and good service. Great service. On top of all that, they have a $6 all day/night draft mug & choice of house shot special. Oh and did I mention that they're building a backyard for 2015? Yup. Just go here already.

Spacious watering hole with great drink specials. I am all about the mugshot hello IPA and whiskey for 6 bucks. Also that bartender with black hair I think Clarissa? HOLLA at cho boy.

Nice place. But I think it's worst bar in this area. The music is bad taste and so noisy. There were people who don't know how to drink alcohol. Never come back.

I just went this bar with some friends last weekend. One of the worst bar I've ever been.Music was too loud and bad taste. I couldn't even talk with my friends. There are many good bar in Bushwick, I'll never come back.

Great neighborhood bar. Friendly bar staff. Great jukebox, tall drinks, peanuts, sausages. It's exactly the place you want to go to just for some drinks. The space itself is really large and open, and you can easily enjoy yourself without dealing with being claustrophobic. I can't wait until they get the back yard space going. It's a bar and they aren't trying to be more than that which is really refreshing. Carissa is the sweetest bartender in the world, we love going in just to have her pour us exactly what we are in the mood for. Oh yeah, Playboy pinball...

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
